Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was found dead Sunday of an apparent heroin overdose, will be laid to rest in a private funeral in New York City Friday, with a memorial service to be held later. Broadway will be dimming its lights tonight in honor of Hoffman.
Meanwhile, Hoffman made multiple cash withdrawals from a supermarket ATM -- totaling $1200 in six transactions. Hoffman's autopsy results are expected soon but toxicology reports will take a little longer. Sources say Hoffman purchased his drugs from the same dealer and would often buy “bundles” of it at a time – twice a week. When the dealer would run out, a secondary dealer was said to sell the actor “cheap s- heroin” that was dangerous. 4 suspects are now in custody. They were reportedly arrested in a Chinatown apartment on Mott Street, after police received a tip that the drugs found in Hoffman's apartment came from the Chinatown building. Police reportedly found 350 glassine envelopes containing a substance believed to be heroin.
