"Please don't hurt me!"

After a few days of noticing rustling noises, I've finally found the culprit! Meet Mousey. Well, actually, I've never actually seen Mousey... just the little presents he left behind... ew!

I'm not sure how or why. I'm notoriously neat... garbage goes out as soon as food touches it. I never leave food out or the sink dirty. It sounds like Mousey lives mostly in the walls of my apartment building. It happens.

The goal: To get him to leave without hurting the little guy. Thanks to my friends on Facebook who recommended some great "no-kill" traps. I'll be picking those up today at The Home Depot along with a dust buster to errr... clean all the tiny crevices in the storage cabinet. Cross your fingers that Operation Mouse Extraction is a success and I can release the little guy into the wilderness to join all his mousey friends.
