CES is one of the largest showcases of new technology in the world! Last year my friend Hal was able to make it out to Vegas to scope out all the new gadgetry making it's way to the market. Just the concepts of some of these ideas are mind-blowing.
For instance, this year I'm hearing that technology is in the works that will not only allow us to charge our smartphones wirelessly, but hopefully one day make it the norm. How many times have you been at work and had to ask around if anyone "had a charger" you could borrow? We've all been there. Now imagine being able to toggle a switch and your phone is charging just from being in the viscinity of a charging hub (thanks to a dandy little microchip invention.)
Science is so cool!
Also debuting: The $100 fork that helps you lose weight. Using motion sensors this contraption tracks how fast a diner is scarfing down their food. Some say the secret to weight loss is slowing down and giving your body a chance to catch up and realize it's full. $100 is pricey, but for certain people who prefer to inhale their food, this could come in useful.
Other unrelated bloggy thoughts:
Last night Sean Lowe made his debut as The Bachelor. As much as I wanted to hate on him a little I found myself in his corner rooting for him. It's easy to tease someone when they come back to a show that's known for failed relationships (especially when they're barefoot on the beach and staring into the ocean in deep thought!) CHEESE. BUT... he's a romantic at heart... and seems to be a good catch (if you can get over his "aw-shucks", naive demeanor.) Listen, he knew enough to get rid of the drunk sloppy mess girl, so maybe there's more to Sean than we know. Good luck kid! OH, and the reappearance of ex-competitor Arie showing him how to kiss... priceless!
Let's see, what else?
When I woke up this morning my back felt slightly better. I looked it up... lumbar strain. It happens to everyone at some point - and it's uncomfortable. I have at home this electric pulse massager, which is similar to what they use at the chiropractor's office; it may have helped a little.
It's funny how you can be doing something as simple as walking, or tying your shoe and all of a sudden...!!!
Stretching is always a good idea. See my previous blog on that.
Have yourself a great day, enjoy the beautiful weather and don't forget to comment and tune in. X
