In my eyes, Pinterest, unlike all of the other social media platforms, I use strictly for inspiration. When I'm too lazy to lounge and even read blogs, I just stare at the pretty pictures.
It's also how I was able to sleuth and find the olive green cargo jacket I wanted (as seen on Diane Kruger)!
First I started off Googling. I typed in "Diane Kruger cargo jacket", "Diane Kruger military style jacket", "Diane Kruger NYC style"...
The results: No brand listed. The image results only showed similar styles, but not quite the same thing. Unfortunately this olive cargo jacket was a trend back in the spring. DOH! I'm a little behind, but this jacket is so cool it was worth digging deeper.
I took to Pinterest and typed in the same keywords and VOILA!
There was a similar jacket staring right at me for under $40!
YouTube is also a super-handy tool. If there's anything you can't quite seem to figure out, there's always a 10-year-old with an instructional video for you to follow, lol. For example, when Intern Will and I needed to know how to make our Harry Potter fortune tellers... or when I needed to know a certain stitch to crochet. It's amazing how much information is out there, how many how-to's!
What it didn't work for was my illness - I ended up having to go to the doctor for this one. No amount of WebMD was gonna cure my bronchitis/laryngitis/asthma... thankfully I'm on the road to recovery (with the help of a few antibiotics) and hope to have my real voice back in the next few days. (PS - Thank you to everyone on Facebook with your amazing love and recommendations!) I was so happy to be the quiet one on my commute today. <3
Have an amazing weekend,
W
