Nicki Minaj will not return to American Idol this fall. Sources said "It's safe to say she isn't coming back to Idol. She will be focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. She's okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway." Minaj joined the FOX series in 2012, alongside fellow new judges Keith Urban and Mariah Carey, with whom she has an ongoing feud.

Round 1 featured music selected by Idol creator Simon Fuller and Round 2 featured the single they would release if they should win. Round 3 showcased the ladies favorite song of the season. An obsessed Taylor Swift was fan arrested near her Rhode Island beach home after swimming up to her pad. A 22 year-old Chicago man was taken into custody for trespassing after he admitted to swimming up to the beach in front of Swift's home around 2 AM. The man told police he swam all the way to Swift's beach, but saw her security team and decided to swim back to where he came from. Roughly 2 miles round trip in cold water. The man was hauled to a nearby police station where he was booked for trespassing.

Angelina Jolie is planning to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries. Because of her "faulty" BRCA1 gene, she still faces a high risk of developing ovarian cancer, which her doctors estimate at 50%. Jolie has experienced no complications since undergoing a double mastectomy in February and reconstructive surgery in April. Jolie’s mother passed away in 2007 from ovarian cancer.

Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine are giving $70M to USC in LA to establish a four-year undergraduate program for students interested in a mix of the arts, visual design, entrepreneurship, computer science and marketing. The gift will create the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation, with the intention of attracting students "who challenge conventional views of art and industry.” The program will include one-on-one faculty mentoring and offer students the opportunity to interact with guest speakers and lecturers from the arts and entertainment field.

After postponing her concert in Belgium Tuesday, Beyonce posted an apology note early this morning to her blog. Beyonce canceled the show due to dehydration and exhaustion. The note is addressed to her "dearest fans in Antwerp" and apologizes for the decision to cancel the concert. Beyonce wrote in block print - "I've never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me.” She also thanks fans for their concern and assures that she is feeling much better now. Beyonce promises she "will make it up very soon" and signs off with "see you tonight." Beyonce launched her "Mrs. Carter World Tour" last month in Belgrade, Serbia. It wraps up August 5th at the Barclays Center.
