Pauline Phillips, known to millions of readers across the country as advice columnist "Dear Abby," died on Wednesday after battling Alzheimer's disease for years. She was 94.  At its peak, the column reached 100 million newspaper readers daily. Phillips' daughter Jeanne, took over the column from her mom in 2002. Abby was the twin sister of rival columnist Ann Landers, who passed in 2002.

Rihanna is set to perform at Atlantic City's Revel Resort on April 26th. She also announced she will be launching a fragrance for men and her new clothing line River Island at London Fashion week in February.

Justin Timberlake has done it again just 1 week after announcing his musical comeback. His new song Suit & Tie debuted at 84 in the new Billboard Hot 100. It’s Justin’s 1st chart hit in 5 years.

Las Vegas hotels are reportedly in a bidding war to get Britney Spears as their headliner. According to TMZ, Britney was in serious negotiations with one of the Caesars properties and since then 2 other properties have reportedly tried to snag Britney.

One Direction have started filming for their upcoming 3D concert film. The film will combine footage from the sold-out Madison Square Garden show last month as well as their sold-out World Tour in the UK. Filming begins this weekend in Tokyo.

A lit candle that Sharon Osbourne forgot to extinguish before bed time started a small blaze at her Beverly Hills home. The fire department arrived and put out the fire before any significant damage was done.

American Idol's 12th season has gotten off to a rough start. The first episode had a 19 percent decline in viewers from last season. According to Nielsen, 17.9 million people watched the show Wednesday night, compared with 21.9 million who took in the premiere episode 2012. FOX executives say competing shows like X Factor and The Voice are to blame for the decline. 

The White House has removed a petition from their We The People site that had called for Beyonce to be disinvited from performing the national anthem at President Obama’s inauguration and it’s all over her $50 million dollar deal with Pepsi. According to Politico, the petition wasn’t removed because Beyonce is an Obama supporter it was removed because the White House doesn’t have “jurisdiction” over inauguration.
