Jessica Simpson is going to take her life and turn it into a television pilot for NBC. Simpson told the Hollywood Reporter that she is teaming up with NBC and Fashion Star producer, Electus for the scripted pilot, which they hope will be picked up and made into a series. Jessica says "I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life - so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we'll have people laughing!"
ESPN sportscaster Stuart Scott is being treated for cancer again. Scott announced on Twitter Monday night, "I'm back in the fight. C reared its head again. Chemo every two weeks, but I'll still work, still work out...still #LIVESTRONG." This is the third time Scott has been diagnosed with cancer -- he was successfully treated in 2007 and 2011 for tumors on his appendix and intestine.
Congratulations to Elton John and David Furnish. They welcomed their second son, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, via a surrogate Friday. The two, who wed in 2005, are also parents to Zachary Jackson Levon, 2. The couple stated “Both of us have longed to have children. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way…we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.”
Town & Country magazine named Prince Harry the world's most eligible bachelor. The magazine describes their list as "a highly subjective, thoroughly opinionated survey of the princes, politicians, scions, DJs, and billionaires-to-be we consider the most eligible men in the universe."
Hilary Duff has donated her shoes to benefit the Lancaster Opera House. The shoes will be up for sale on eBay. Hilary has reportedly signed the soles of the shoes and most of them will include a signed note.
John Mayer has reportedly designed a limited edition line of wallets with the leather company Barrett Alley. Mayer previously had two bracelet collections with the company. The Barrett Alley x John Mayer Judas Pouch is reportedly "made of deerskin and lined with antique Japanese cotton textiles printed with Mayer's JCM monogram. It's held together with an antique American Civil War-era bone button closure and leather strap."
American Idol returns tonight at 8pm with a two-night premiere.
Charlie Sheen appeared on The Late Show Monday and opened up about everything from his meltdown to wanting to appear on the series finale of Two and a Half Men. At one point during their chat, David Letterman began to coax the Anger Management actor by saying, "You are going to be, in the next several months...fill in the blanks." Charlie responded, "Grandfather." He added that while the news may be fabulous, "Grandpa" is not a title that the 47-year-old is ready for. .Charlie's daughter Cassandra is expecting her first child with husband Casey Huffman whom she married in 2010.
Sources say that Rihanna is not back with her ex Matt Kemp -- or any other dude for that matter. Hollywoodlife.com reports now that Rihanna is taking a break from men period. The source explained, "She's not with any other dude. She and Chris are tight but sometimes a girl just need a little breathing space. She's just stepping out on her own for a minute, feeling herself and riding solo."
Britney Spears is still under a conservatorship and it is reportedly that same conservator that ended things between her and her fiance Jason Trawick. According to RadarOnline.com, Britney wouldn't have been able to handle the breakup in a rational way -- so Britney's dad, Jamie, was the one who orchestrated the entire split. Sources say “Jason wanted out, and in the fragile state that Britney is in, it's not like he could have a rational conversation with her about it, so it was really between him and Jamie. Jason and Jamie wanted to make sure that Britney didn't lose it, so they had to water things down for her a bit."
