Matt is a native New Yorker—born in Brooklyn, raised in Staten Island and now living in Manhattan. He grew up listening to New York City radio and was inspired at a young age to get behind the microphone. During the summer of 2002 while he was a student at Rutgers University, Matt was hired as an intern in the KTU Promotions department. After the summer he joined the KTU Party Crew and started hanging around the studio, eager to learn from anybody willing to teach. Eventually, he became the Producer of KTU’s night show and began making demo tapes in hopes of being a DJ, which led to on-air stints at Clear Channel sister stations in Sussex, NJ and Poughkeepsie, NY before returning to his roots in New York City, where he took on the role of Production Director, and eventually Producer, of Wake Up With Whoopi. During that time, he also hosted the Saturday Night Dance Party on sister station WLTW in New York City.
