Its not easy to get noticed for your talent & to become a household name in the hottest and most diverse city in the world, New York City. Well DJ Lil Cee has done it, a New York City native, Ceasar Reznik, aka DJ Lil Cee knew from an early age that he wanted to be a part of the music industry. At the age of 16 he had already started spinning records and his obsession with music found himself sneaking into the hottest clubs in New York City. His persistence paid off one night when he got into the world famous Limelight & had the chance to spin on the clubs famous turntables. That experience motivated Cee even more to make it in the music business.
Lil Cee's first step in conquering New York & the music industry was to become a top radio personality on the 1 Dance Music radio station in the world 103.5 KTU in the most competitive radio market, New York. While making his mark at KTU he joined the XM radio family on XM 81 BPM allowing him to not only generate a solid fan base in the music capitol of the world but nationally. He quickly became known for his infectious personality & hot mix shows. Record label executives took notice of Lil Cee's success and he was approached by the legendary TOMMY BOY record label to put out a series of CD compilations. His debut CD titled Dance Mix Vol.6 & his follow up CD Dance Mix 7 on Tommy Boy Records both had impressive debuts in the Top Ten on the BILLBOARD Dance/Electronica charts.
With his CD success all eyes from the radio, music & nightlife industry were suddenly on Lil Cee. Request for Lil Cee to become resident DJ at some of the hottest clubs in NYC, New Jersey and the surrounding boroughs were pouring in. Lil Cee became a staple at various nightclubs in the NYC area. He's held DJ residencies at Posh (Long Island) Lana Lounge (Hoboken, NJ) Bliss (Clifton, NJ) Club Xs (Seaside Heights, NJ) Club DNA (Astoria Queens NY) CM Lounge in (Woodbridge Nj) & currently Teak (Hoboken Nj)
After releasing two very successful CD's on Tommy Boy Lil Cee got a offer he could not refuse. He was offered a lucrative deal with one of the biggest dance labels in America and internationally ULTRA records.. His debut CD on Ultra Records was "Ultra Weekend 2" and became his biggest CD to date, debuting in the top 5 on the BILLBOARD Dance/Electronica charts. Lil Cee has based his very successful career on taking challenges and never letting great opportunities pass him by. After a very successful run on WKTU in New York. In 2008 Lil Cee decided to join one of the most successful CBS radio teams on the west coast at 100.5 The Zone KZZO Sacramento/Movin 99.7 San Fran. LiL Cee quickly became Music Director of 100.5 The Zone. New York however kept calling his name. After a short West Coast appearance LiL Cee went back home in NYC 2009 to host shows on two other radio stations.
