Due to Hurricane Sandy this program aired twice.

The Lustgarten Foundation joins the show this weekend. Executive Director of the Lustgarten Foundation, Kerri Kaplan and Events Director, Ann Walsh get into great details about the foundation, research, events and more. The Lustgarten Foundation was created in 1998 to advance the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of Pancreatic Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer is the most lethal cancer there is. No prevention, early tests and unless detected in its early stages, no cure. It is also a cancer that, when compared to a number of other cancers, receives far less attention and funding. Cablevision joined with The Lustgarten Foundation to launch curePC.org, a public service campaign created to help advance a cause that needs more funding and increased awareness so that someday a cure can be found. The Foundation has provided more than $42 million in support of breakthrough research to find early detection methods, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure. November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and Purple is the color of Hope! Please check curepc.org and LustgartenFoundation.org for more info!
