WATCH: Gov. Christie Confronted On Medical Marijuana
Posted August 16th, 2013 @ 11:18am

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie got into an emotional exchange this week in front of cameras with the father of a 2-year-old girl who suffers from Dravet Syndrome, a potentially deadly form of epilepsy. Brian Wilson confronted Christie while the governor was at a diner in Scotch Plains to find out why he hasn’t passed a bill yet that would help his daughter receive medical marijuana for her illness.

Wilson is trying to convince Christie to sign a bill into law that would make a special form of medical marijuana more easily accessible to children through a doctor’s prescription. Wilson said in the CBS News report that his daughter suffered 30 violent seizures that morning alone. If Christie vetoes the bill then the Wilson family plans on moving to Colorado in order to get the medication their daughter needs. Watch CBS News' report below along with footage from Christie and Wilson's confrontation.
