Apparently Brooklyn’s Barclays Center has its own new arena smell. However, according to DNAinfo New York, the new Brooklyn sports facility that plays host to the Brooklyn Nets, actually makes sure there is a distinct smell by pumping a scent through the air.
A source tells DNAinfo that, ScentAir, a company that manufactures its own custom fragrances is allegedly behind the perfume like smell in the air. The company reportedly creates fragrances that are released through theme parks, hotels, and stores. These scents are meant to enhance the consumer experience.
DNAinfo looked into Barclays Center's signature smell after a number of fans noticed that the arena had a clean scent not usually found at sporting events. So the next time you are at a concert or sporting event at Barclays Center, take a whiff of that new arena smell.
