Driver Accused in Tracy Morgan Crash Due in Court
Posted June 11th, 2014 @ 7:47am

The truck driver accused of causing a car accident that killed one person and injured Tracy Morgan will be in court today.

Kevin Roper is charged with vehicular homicide and assault. He's free on $50,000 bond.

James McNair was killed early Saturday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike, while Morgan and two others were injured. Morgan remains in critical, but stable condition.

Prosecutors allege that Roper was awake for more than 24 hours before the crash. He was driving a truck for Wal-Mart and didn't see that traffic had slowed down in front of him, slamming into Morgan's limousine bus.

Morgan is expected to remain hospitalized for weeks.
