Alex Rodriguez Could Meet With MLB Investigators Friday
Posted July 12th, 2013 @ 7:23am

Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez may not have played a game this year, but he is still making headlines. Rodriguez, currently rehabbing from hip surgery, is expected to meet with Major League Baseball investigators on Friday. Rodriguez, who has found himself smack in the middle of baseball's probe into closed Miami Biogenesis clinic, could find himself in big trouble.

The New York Daily News reports that Rodriguez will be joined by his counsel, two MLB officials, two MLB Players Association reps, and a court stenographer. The Biogenesis clinic is under investigation for allegedly distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs to a number of MLB players, who could find themselves suspended.

Rodriguez is currently on a rehab assignment at the Yankees minor league affiliate, but he was reportedly awarded Friday off for his meeting with officials. The Daily News notes that Rodriguez may still play Friday night, but if he does meet in Tampa, FL with officials he is expected to be asked about his association with Biogenesis founder Anthony Bosch.
