Justin Bieber was arrested in Ontario, Canada, and charged with dangerous driving and assault late last week. Shortly before the incident that led to his arrest, he was spotted riding an ATV with Selena Gomez, which Justin crashed into a minivan. He then allegedly got into an altercation with one of the occupants. Justin and his lawyer blamed the presence of photographers as the reason for the crash. The singer is due back in court on September 29th.
Joan Rivers remains on life support after suffering cardiac and respiratory arrest during a throat procedure at a Manhattan clinic. Her daughter Melissa said in a statement “I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers.”
Stars and friends of Robin Williams will share memories of the late comedian in Robin Williams Remembered — A Pioneers of Television Special. The one-hour special will feature Williams’ last full-length television interview, including never-before-seen footage and Williams’ stories from his early days as a stand-up comedian, his desire to be a dramatic actor and his efforts to entertain U.S. troops overseas. The special will air is set to air next September 9th on select PBS stations.
Gisele Bündchen has signed a multiyear deal with sportswear retailer Under Armour. The model will lead a new campaign targeting health-conscious women. Husband and NFL star Tom Brady has represented the brand since 2010, and holds a minority ownership stake in the company.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sold their wedding album photos to the highest bidders. Those wedding pictures went to People and Hello! Magazines. They paid up to 2 million dollars for the exclusive rights. Word is that their wedding photographer worked for free. All the money earned by the wedding pics will automatically go to the couple’s charity: The Jolie Pitt Foundation. Eight years ago, People splurged for their daughter, Shiloh for $4 million dollars and $14 million for pictures of their twins.
Ex- The Voice coach CeeLo Green’s TBS reality show, The Good Life, has been canceled. Network insider said the show was canceled was due to poor ratings. The news comes after he came under fire for a series of offensive tweets about rape, in which he argued that women must be conscious to “really” be raped. Green pleaded no contest Friday to a felony charge that he gave ecstasy to a woman in 2012. A petition from women’s rights group UltraViolet had called for TBS to get rid of the show in light of Green’s tweets.
Blake Shelton said he's having a blast doing The Voice, but admits the upcoming season may be his last since he’s going to get involved in other things. The new season has two new coaches, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams, joining the show. The new season of The Voice kicks off September 22nd.
Adam Levine is stepping behind the camera. The Voice judge and Maroon 5 frontman is developing a comedy inspired by his childhood for NBC. Kids in America will follow a teenager at the center of an unconventional family who has aspirations of becoming a rock star.
Piers Morgan no longer works for CNN. The British host announced his departure from the network on Twitter, saying that he was offered a new deal by the network’s boss but didn’t take it because he wanted to do something new. Morgan says there is no bad blood between him and the network in his departure.
How To Train Your Dragon 3 is being made. No. 2 crossed the $600 million mark over the weekend. The third movie has been bumped from a June 2016 release to a June 2017 release.
