Congratulations to Christina Aguilera! She welcomed baby #2 – a bouncing baby girl named Summer Rain, this Saturday with her fiancé Matt Rutler. Aguilera gave birth at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has a 6-year-old son Max with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman. Aguilera met Rutler on the set of Burlesque in 2010.
ABC News anchor Elizabeth Vargas has returned to a treatment center for alcohol dependency. The wife of singer/songwriter Marc Cohn and mother of two children said she is “committed to battling and addressing this debilitating disease” and thanked her support she has received from viewers. The network said it stands “squarely behind her” and that execs are “looking forward to having her back when she feels ready to return.”
Oprah Winfrey will pay tribute to Robin Williams by featuring his old interviews on her OWN channel.
Justin Bieber accepted a second ALS Ice Bucket Challenge yesterday, dousing himself with ice water. He then took the opportunity to nominate “my Beliebers all over the world.” Naturally, it didn’t take long before the singer’s legion of fans poured ice cold water over their heads — and many also donated money to the ALS charity.
Katy Perry got her nose pierced in a new video and she shared it on Instagram. She wrote: “Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro’s. Sorry mom (again).” Watch the video!
Looks like Jennifer Lawrence and Coldplay’s Chris Martin are seeing each other. They’ve been spending time together since late June, after Jennifer split from her X-Men costar Nicholas Hoult and since Chris consciously uncoupled from Gwyneth Paltrow in March.
Britney Spears returned to the Las Vegas stage this past weekend and her sound technicians made a major snafu during her performance of “Perfume.” The song was written by Sia and during Saturday night’s concert, while Britney was on stage, the backing vocals to “Perfume” was blasting from Sia. So she was caught red-handed lip syncing while Sia’s voice rang out. Britney: Piece of Me will go down in history as the most expensive karaoke night. OOOPH!
Josh Gracin has been discharged from the hospital and has voluntarily checked himself into an inpatient psychiatric facility. Josh is getting help after leaving a disturbing suicide note on Facebook. Josh said in a statement he is taking full responsibility for his actions and is moving forward. The former Marine and American Idol contestant alluded to marital problems on social media.
Demi Moore apparently gave daughter Rumer Willis a gun-shaped cake for her birthday. Willis, turned 26 on Saturday and showed off the cake on Instagram. The cake features the words “Bang Bang!” on it, perhaps a nod to a song of the same name that Willis performed in a Quentin Tarantino-themed musical earlier this year.
Mr. T waited outside a suburban Chicago courthouse to be called for jury duty Friday. Ultimately, he wasn’t picked as a juror.
Ving Rhames will revisit his role as Luther Stickell in Mission: Impossible V. He joins Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Jeremy Renner who will also be back. The fifth film is scheduled for December 25th, 2015.
Jim Parsons has denied that he is engaged to his long-term partner Todd Spiewak. The Big Bang Theory star shared on his official Instagram page that tabloid speculation about his current relation status is false. He wrote: “Me and Todd in 2003. Still very happy today… And NOT engaged! #justFYI #NationalEnquirerMakesS#%@Up #duh”
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” sliced their way to the top of the box office this weekend, nabbing $28.4 million. Runner-up “Guardians of the Galaxy” collected $24.7 million, followed by the comedy “Let’s Be Cops.” “The Expendables 3” opened in a disappointing 4th place while “The Giver” rounds out the Top 5.
