Gwen Stefani going to The Voice?

Gwen Stefani has reportedly signed on as a coach for The Voice's 7th season. Stefani would replace Christina Aguilera, who announced her pregnancy in February. Last month, NBC announced that Pharrell Williams would be stepping in as a coach after Cee Lo Green announced he was permanently exiting the show in February. Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are expected to return, but only Williams has been confirmed for Season 7, which begins shooting in June and is set to debut this fall.

 

Word is going around that Ryan Seacrest is reportedly planning to leave American Idol. Seacrest has hosted the reality singing competition since its first season in 2002 and he wants to exit before the FOX series is canceled due to declining ratings.
 
Kim Kardashian and her fiance Kanye West aren’t thinking about tying the knot in
France anymore. Latest reports are saying that they will get married at the Ysidro Ranch just outside of Los Angeles. The wedding date is said to be late May and the venue the couple chose will of course provide privacy as well as beauty.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has gone into extreme dieting mode ahead of her wedding and has banned any other liquids other than water from her diet. Kim lost fifty pounds since giving birth to her first child North last June and she has been eating lean protein and green vegetables in order to stay fit. Her assistant has a bag of celery sticks with her at all times to curb those cravings.

Country singer Kevin Sharp passed away Saturday from complications of past stomach surgeries and digestive issues. Best known for his “Nobody Knows” hit, the 43-year-old was diagnosed as a young man with
Ewing’s sarcoma, a blood cancer he battled while undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. The Make-a-Wish Foundation learned he was an aspiring musician and arranged a meeting with music producer David Foster, which led to him landing a record deal. Plans for a Nashville memorial are underway.

 

Tila Tequila announced Friday that she’s expecting her first child and she’s 10 weeks pregnant. She made the announcement on Facebook this weekend saying “I just couldn’t hold it in any longer as this brings me so much joy and happiness to know that there is a baby Tila on the way! May God bless my little bundle of joy on this Good Friday! Yayy! I’m going to be a Mommy! I love you soooo much little baby!!” Tila has not revealed the identity of the father.

Michelle Obama will be making a special guest appearance on the May 7th episode of
Nashville! Kellie Pickler is also set to appear alongside the first lady. The episode finds Connie Britton’s Rayna rallying some friends to join her in a visit to FortCampbell, where she organizes a charity concert after finding out that Luke has been injured in Afghanistan. The season-two finale airs on May 14th.

 

Miley Cyrus is postponing her U.S. tour while she recovers from an allergic reaction to antibiotics and the tour will resume her performances in August. Her ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth has reached out to her because he has been worried about Miley and her well-being.

 

Boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter -- whose wrongful murder conviction in the '60s became an international symbol for racial injustice -- has died. Carter died in his sleep yesterday at his home in Toronto where he had been getting treatments for prostate cancer. He was 76.

 

Director Richard Donner says Steven Spielberg is on board for the Goonies sequel. There is no other information as to how Spielberg, who wrote the story and was the executive producer for the original 1985 film, will be involved. Donner wants the original cast to be involved, and there's a good chance the whole gang will reunite.

 

Lindsay Lohan revealed yesterday in the last moments of her 2 hour finale of Lindsay – her reality show on OWN that she had a miscarriage during a break in the filming of the show. Lindsay said "No one knows this, and we can finish after this, I had a miscarriage for the two weeks that I took off. It's a very long story. I was sick. And mentally that messes with you." Lindsay offered no other details.

 

At the movies this weekend, Captain America: The Winter Soldier snagged 1st place and made $26.6 million bucks. Rio 2, grabbed 2nd and made $22.5 million. Heaven is for Real came in 3rd while Transcendence took 4th. A Haunted House 2 rounds out the Top 5.
