Last night on Dancing With the Stars, Olympic ice dancer, Charlie White was eliminated from the ballroom. Good news for Dancing fans! Dancing With the Stars will return next season.
Last Monday at The Standard Hotel all hell broke loose in the elevator between Beyonce's sister, Solange, and Jay Z here in the city. Solange attacked Jay Z as Beyonce stood by her man. A security guard intervenes to try to stop the madness and restrain Solange. The 3 left the building together, but Beyonce and Solange got in a car together while Jay Z hopped in a different vehicle. The hotel says it is investigating the leak of a security video and they even issued a statement saying it is "shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system." TMZ posted the minute-long video yesterday. The footage shows them all in their outfits they wore to the Met Gala last week. Watch the video here!
Clay Aiken's opponent in the Democratic primary for one of North Carolina's congressional seats, passed away yesterday of injuries reportedly suffered in a fall at his home. Keith Crisco was 71. Voters went to the polls last week, but the race was considered too close to call. Aiken was said to be 369 votes ahead, but both candidates were awaiting word from the official canvass before mapping their next move. Aiken immediately took to Twitter last night to pay his respects.
Justin Timberlake has opened up about his decision to leave 'N Sync at the height of the group's popularity. Timberlake said "I would wake up every morning feeling this more and more of an urge to step out on my own." But he says he wanted to "try my own hand as a musician, just by myself." Timberlake, who was just 21 at the time, reveals everyone around him warned him not to leave 'N Sync. Justin released his debut solo album Justified in 2002.
Rumors are swirling that Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s marriage is on the rocks, but he dismissed them as “humorous” while speaking with Parade magazine. He said tabloids are reporting she wants to cut him loose because she’s not happy about him talking about his past sexual encounters in interviews, but he said they “couldn’t be further from the truth, and it really affects the credibility of the so-called newspapers.” Some say they didn’t even celebrate their wedding anniversary, but he says they did and “had a good time” first celebrating their twins, Monroe and Moroccan’s birthday, which happens to be the same day, and then having a romantic rooftop evening. Hmmmmm where’s there is smoke there is fire!
David Letterman is going to retire next year and yesterday he stopped by The View to say goodbye to Barbara Walters in her final week of co-hosting The View before retiring on Friday. Letterman sat down on the couch to say goodbye and thank you to Walters who appeared 29 times on Letterman's late night programs. He credited Walters with giving his show credibility early on when she first came on as a guest. He says that having such a respectable TV personality on the show was a huge endorsement for him.
A judge ordered an investigation into the whereabouts yesterday of Casey Kasem after an attorney for the ailing radio personality's wife said he had been removed from the country. LA Superior Court Judge Daniel S. Murphy ordered a court investigator and adult protective services to find out where Kasem is being treated and report back to the court. Kasem, 82, suffers from advanced Parkinson's disease, can no longer speak and has been in various medical facilities chosen by his wife, Jean. Kasem's kids have complained that they have been unable to see their father in accordance with an agreement with their stepmother. Murphy appointed a doctor to look into Casey Kasem's care and ordered a court-appointed attorney to find out his whereabouts as soon as possible.
