We're hearing from Usher for the first time since his 5-year-old son has been in the hospital following a serious pool accident. He said, "I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock." He also went on to thank the two men who were able to rescue his son out of the pool. "They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them." Usher said his son is doing well and recovering, and he's "overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, love and support for my family's well-being."
Meantime, Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, is asking for temporary primary custody of their two kids. Usher currently has full custody, but Tameka says he's away most of the time and she does not trust the kids under the supervision of his aunt, who was watching their son when he nearly drowned. Tameka wants to make decisions regarding their education, healthcare, religion, and extracurricular activities. A hearing is set for Friday afternoon.
