Taylor Swift will release her first official pop album, 1989, October 27th. Taylor was heavily inspired by the music of the 1980s and has been working on the project for the last two years. Yesterday during a live stream on Yahoo Taylor debut 1989′s first single, Shake It Off. The inspiration for Shake It Off came from a lesson she had to learn over the past couple years: “People can say whatever they want about us, at any time and we cannot control that. The only thing we can control is our reaction to that.

NBC has confirmed that Don Pardo, the veteran TV and radio announcer who famously opened Saturday Night Live with his booming voice for every season, but one, has passed away. He was 96. He was the first announcer on The Price is Right back in 1956 and stayed with the show until it moved to ABC in 1963.

Seven years after the release of the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series, there’s another magical character coming to the surface - Celestina Warbeck. On Pottermore.com yesterday, author J.K. Rowling introduced the new witch who is a famous songstress in the wizarding universe, and is also Molly Weasley’s (Ron’s mom’s) favorite celebrity.

Late last night, Kevin Hart tweeted, “She said YEEEEESSSSS.”  After dating Eniko Parrish for five years, Hart popped the question on Eniko’s 30th birthday and presented her a massive diamond engagement ring.

According to Celebrity Fix, Robin Thicke is seeing Katie Holmes. Sources say Katie dropped him an email recently to see how he was, knowing he was going through divorce issues. Apparently, the two plan to get together in New York once Robin’s tour concludes.

Christian Bale and his wife Sibi Blazic welcomed their 2nd child, a boy recently. No other details have come out. Baby boy joins his nine-year-old sister, Emmeline.

U2 has confirmed their new album will be released this year. U2 released their 12th studio album, No Line on the Horizon, in 2009. The album sold about 5 million copies.

TLC has ordered additional hours of Kate Plus 8. Three years after the series’ cancellation, a two-part follow-up special aired in June and averaged 2.1 million viewers. Now cameras will follow Gosselin and her kids as they travel to Boston during a family vacation and get ready for the new school year. The new hours are slated to air in December. Yawn.

Keanu Reeves is coming to TV and he’s playing a character named John Rain, a character from books by Barry Eisler. The show will be a globe-trotting action drama featuring Rain, a half-Japanese, half-American contract assassin who specializes in taking out his targets by making it look like death by natural causes. The show’s source material will be based on Eisler’s series of novels featuring Rain.

Lindsay Lohan told Britain's Daily Mail she’s going to put out a biography. She said "I want to put a lot of photos and cool stuff. It will probably be like a trilogy, like Harry Potter because there's so many." Lindsay adds writing has been like "therapy" over the years. "I've kept journals my whole life, since when I was a kid and stuff and I think I have a lot to say." By the way, Harry Potter was fiction and there were seven books. UGH.
