Word is going around that Beyonce and Jay Z will open the Grammy Awards. Kontrol Magazine sources say their surprise performance is definitely happening. However, the Grammy organization and The Staples Center are trying to keep it under wraps but not having a lot of luck. We will watch, wait and see on January 26th on CBS.

Speaking of Beyonce, her new album came in at #2 this week selling 79,000 copies units 5th week out. The album has now sold 1.5 million copies and surpassed her previous album 4 which has sold 1.39 million copies since 2011. 

By the way Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney will reunite that night for a Grammy performance.

Oscar nominations will be announced this morning at 8:30on ABC. The Oscars will be held Sunday, March 2nd at 7 pm on ABC!

Golden Raspberry nominations have been announced and Grown Ups 2 is making the most noise this year with eight nominations, including worst picture, sequel, ensemble, screenplay, lead actor for Sandler, supporting actor for Taylor Lautner, supporting actress for Salma Hayek and director for Dennis Dugan. This year’s other worst-picture nominees are The Lone Ranger, Tyler Perry’s holiday comedy A Madea Christmas, After Earth and Movie 43. Winners for the 34th annual Razzies will be announced March 1st, the night before the 86th annual Academy Awards.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky revealed he and his wife are having twins. Pataky, announced she was pregnant again in November, is expecting the two bundles of joy in the spring.

Country star Trace Adkins entered a rehab center for treatment for alcohol abuse. Adkins had been sober for 12 years before taking part in a Country Cruising cruise, where he fell off the wagon Monday. TMZ reports he was in the bar when a Trace impersonator was doing Karaoke and the two got into a fight. His rep confirmed the news, saying, “Trace has entered a treatment facility after a setback in his battle with alcoholism.”

NBC has ordered a comedy pilot from Will Ferrell. Set in 1962, Mission Control is a workplace comedy in the tone of Anchorman that examines what happens when a strong woman butts heads with a macho astronaut during the race to land on the moon.

Benjamin Bratt has joined 24: Live Another Day, the new event series starring Kiefer Sutherland. Bratt will portray Steve Harris, the head of CIA operations tracking Jack Bauer in London.24: Live Another Day premieres with a two-hour special on Monday, May 5th on FOX.

Robert Pattinson has sold his LA home to Jim Parsons. According to real estate site Trulia, the $6.375 million deal was finalized Tuesday. Pattinson purchased the property, built in 1922, back in September 2011 for $6.275 million. Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once owned the residence.
