Dr. Oz he rushed to help an accident victim hurt outside his offices near Rockefeller Center in NYC yesterday. The cardiothoracic surgeon and host of The Dr. Oz Show hurried to the scene when a taxi driver lost control of his cab, driving onto the sidewalk and into a group of pedestrians. The woman, Sian Green, a British tourist, lost her leg below the knee. Dr. Oz said on his Facebook page that a plumber from New York, David Justino, acted quickly by removing his belt and using it as a tourniquet to stop the bleeding from the woman's leg. They stayed with the victim until emergency teams, who were already on the scene, rushed her to the hospital.

Us Weekly sources said that Kanye West was offered a 3rd and final spot at Idol’s judging panel for the upcoming season but decided to pass on the opportunity because he felt it would hurt his reputation. Word is he didn’t want to go that mainstream and didn’t want to lose any street cred so he turned it down. Wouldn’t hurt his pocket right?

Meanwhile, he opted to tape an appearance on Kris Jenner’s talk show and that will air Friday. But there is a reason he’s showing up there. West will reveal the first baby picture of baby North on the finale. Kanye said he had decided he wanted to show the picture of North because they didn't want to make money on the photo and he is fed up of photographers following him around. On the other hand, Kris is hoping the big reveal will give the show the ratings boost it needs to get FOX to pick up for a full series.

Pepsi is working with Katy Perry to debut a song from her upcoming album “Prism” by partnering with MTV and the VMAs for a tweet-to-unlock campaign. Fans who tweet #KATYNOW can unlock clues detailing two of the album’s tracks, including song titles, and lyrics. Once the clues have been unlocked, Pepsi and MTV will stream samples of the two new songs on Saturday, August 24th, at The winning song will be announced Sunday night, when Perry performs “Roar” at the close of the VMAs

NSYNC may reunite at this Sunday’s 2013 VMA’s. Sources told The Post that Justin Timberlake, who is prepping to perform and accept the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, will be joined onstage by his former band mates.

Britney Spears has launched a mysterious countdown timer on her official website yesterday and it read "All Eyes On Me." If that is the new single, it is scheduled for release on September 17th at 9:30 am. The song will likely lead Spears' anticipated eighth studio album. Producers Will.I.Am and William Orbit have revealed that they have been working with her on new music. So cryptic!

Simon Cowell has no qualms about becoming a first-time father and told the BBC, "I'm proud to be a dad." Cowell is expecting a baby with Lauren Silverman, who wasn't separated at the time from her now-estranged husband Andrew Silverman – went on to say, "It's something I hadn't thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it." Cowell calls Lauren "a very special girl and things are changing in my life right now for the better."

Elton John and his partner David Furnish will be opening a champagne lounge at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The lounge, called Fizz, will be a collaboration between John, Furnish and nightlife operators Michael Greco and Steven Kennedy. Fizz will open in late October or early November, and will serve high-end Champagnes by the glass, as well as a small plates menu, overseen by Elton and David's own chef. Fizz will be decorated with photographs from the couple's acclaimed art collection.

Lindsay Lohan's sit-down with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday was a ratings bomb. The one-hour OWN broadcast averaged 892,000 the 9 pm premiere telecast. The 10 pm encore averaged 504,000 viewers. OOOPH!
