Bruno Mars has been crowned Billboard’s Artist of the Year of 2013. The singer was acknowledged for his success over the past year including several hit records from his album, Unorthodox Jukebox.

Filmmaker Tom Laughlin, who shot to fame as the rugged half-breed action hero “Billy Jack,” passed away Thursday in Thousand Oaks, California. He was 82 years old. 

Peter O'Toole, who over a 50-year-career delivered majestic performances as unforgettable characters both noble and notorious, passed away Saturday at the Wellington Hospital in London following a long illness. He was 81.

Hollywood stalwart Joan Fontaine, best known for her roles in director Alfred Hitchcock's 1939 Rebecca and her Best Actress Oscar-winning role in his 1940 film Suspicion, passed away yesterday at her northern California home. She was 96.

Britney Spears documentary – I Am Britney Jean will air Sunday, December 22nd at 9 pm on E! The 2 hour film documents Britney’s life as she preps for her upcoming Vegas residency.

Lady Gaga gets hot and heavy with a very sexy man in her black and white short film for ‘Dope.’ The song is the only sound we hear in the short film, which is just under two minutes and watch what happens to Gaga in the end!

 

Pink's The Truth About Love tour ended up ranking as Billboard's third-highest-grossing of the year, second to Bon Jovi and the Cirque du Soleil production Michael Jackson The Immortal. The Truth About Love Tour: Live from Melbourne arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and digital long form January 21st.  The one-hour, 50-minute show was filmed in Australia. The show features Pink performing two cover versions: Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time." A few bonus features round out the package.

The most popular Instagram picture of the year went to Justin Bieber. Back in August Justin posted the pic of himself posing with Will Smith and captioned the pic  "Me and Uncle Will." It was the most-liked photo of the entire year and liked by more than 1.5 million people.  Back in .November, Justin revealed that Smith had been providing guidance on a weekly basis to him.

In other Bieber news, ambulances were sent to his Calabasas home Saturday after a 911 call was placed saying a woman passed out at a party in his home. Bieber was home at the time and a member of his security made the call. The woman regained consciousness and didn’t require medical attention. TMZ mentioned that booze could have been a culprit.

Justin Timberlake's visit to Kentucky inspired the local ice cream chain, The Comfy Cow, to create 2 new flavors. Breakfast on Beale Street features chunks of bacon, layers of cinnamon maple French toast cake bites, and blueberry compote with maple syrup and nutmeg. Sweet Southern Nights features Timberlake’s own signature tequila, blackberry lime buttermilk biscuit chunks, and blackberries cooked with lime zest and tequila. Fans can come in and vote for their favorite flavor by filling out a contest entry card and one lucky winner will win a pair of tickets to his show. The store also will feature the winning flavor for a month.

Lindsay Lohan has decided to write a tell-all book about her arrests, drug abuse, acting career, and family. Lohan already received several publishing offers in the six-figure range. The book is still in its early stages, and it doesn't have a clear focus, but Lohan says she wants to open up every part of her life. The meeting was filmed as part of Lindsay's docu-series on OWN.

At the movies this weekend, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug snagged 1st place and made $73.7 million dollars followed by Frozen which pulled in $22.1 million. A Madea Christmas took 3rd while Hunger Games: Catching Fire landed in 4th. Thor: The Dark World rounds out the Top 5.
